The Project

MATA continues to work on the Short Range Transit Plan. We have completed several tasks and are starting to develop preliminary recommendations. We will bring some of these ideas to the public in the next few months.

The goals of the Short Range Transit Plan are to:

  • 1.     Make sure MATA services meet and support community
  •         needs.

  • 2.     Make the bus an attractive option for more people in
  •         our community. Study recommendations will focus on
  •         finding ways to increase bus ridership.

  • 3.     Ensure MATA services are operated in the most cost
  •         effective and efficient way possible.
